To Flirt or not to Flirt

I should start this year by making my own golden rule. Rule number #1, Flirting shouldn’t be allowed if the person who is flirting with you doesn’t do anything about it afterwards. Here I am talking to the guy, notice I said, “The Guy,” and the conversation seems to be going smoothly. This is not the first time I’ve had a conversation with this person. At least we’ve established the fact that we are both friends, and we enjoy each other’s company here and there. Spontaneously I invite him to the movies; it was a very casual invite…like the kind you would say to yourself, this is NOT a date, just two friends going out. Suddenly I get the “I have to go home and let out the dogs.” Wow, what just happened? I was just dumped for a couple of dogs! Talk about a man’s best friend.

This is the part where a woman or man looses complete confidence. Did I have some piece of food stuck between my teeth? Or did I laugh too much? Then you get the flashback, it’s time to lose those extra 10 pounds, talk about social media.

Well, as to what happened to Scarlett in Gone with the Wind, I was blown away and you just lost your chance.
